Barcelona Airport El Prat

The oficial name of the Barcelona Airport is El Prat Airport. It is the 10th largest airport in Europe with over 25 million passengers passing through its terminals every year! The Barcelona Airport operates with 3 live runways and it is possible to travel all over the world from this bustling, global air-transport hub. Some routes will require a connecting flight change in other European cities, however this is something the authorities are under increasing pressure to resolve as the airport expands, and aims to rise up the ranks in terms of passenger volume across the world.

The Barcelona Airport is located 15 kms. to the southeast of Barcelona and you have several options when planning your transfers to and from the Barcelona Airport to the city centre. These options vary in terms of travel time and price. They are however, invariably reliable and easy to use.

T1 and T2 at Barcelona Airport are 4 kilometres apart. Therefore you will not be able to walk at T2 if you arrive at T1. However, there is a free shuttle bus service which will take you to the T2 and you will be able to distinguish them from other bus services by their colour (bright green) and name: Bus Transit T1-T2.

The shuttle bus stop at T1 is directly outside of the terminal building. The shuttle bus stop at T2 is at T2B and T2C. If you cannot find the signs for the stops, just ask at airport information, they will be happy to help you out!

From 5:30 to 24:00: every 6-7 minutes.
