Ways to get from Barcelona Airport to Tarragona
A private transfer booked ahead suits travellers who want a planned pickup, direct drive and help with luggage. It is particularly useful for families, groups and arrivals outside your preferred public transport connections.
A taxi from the rank is a practical choice if you want to leave after collecting your bags without arranging a booking in advance. Use the official rank at the airport and confirm the destination before setting off.
Public transport can suit independent travellers who are comfortable making connections and checking current services. Review the latest airport and transport information before travelling, as routes, connections and availability can change.
Hire a car works well if Tarragona is part of a wider Catalonia trip or you need flexibility beyond the city. Check the rental conditions, driving requirements and parking arrangements at your accommodation before collecting the vehicle.
Booking a private transfer
After booking, keep the confirmation, accommodation address and driver contact details easy to reach. At arrivals, follow the meeting instructions and look for the driver or meeting point described in your confirmation.
Have your flight details, passenger names and luggage information ready. If you need a child seat, request it when booking and confirm that the required seat is available. Tell the transfer provider about a late or delayed flight as soon as possible, then check the provider’s policy for flight monitoring and waiting arrangements.
