Barcelona Churches, Santa Anna Church

This church is a really hidden gem in the heart of Barcelona. Built in the XII century, the Santa Anna church was a former cloister with chapter house located in the gothic area within the old city district.

To access this beautiful church with Romanic and gothic elements you can either go through the main entrance from Carrer Santa Anna or through a small passage from the lower part of the Plaça de Catalunya square.

Opposite the Santa Anna church you will find an old cross made of stone, a common feature of cloisters.
