Description
This institution, Barcelona's Royal Academy of Science and Arts, more than 250 years old, is located in an eighteenth century building, in the city center. In its conference room, Albert Einstein exposed the basis for relativity. The history and work of the academy has spanned over years and firled, but the work done by the Academy calculating the Time Service of the City of Barcelona since 1886 with a meridian telescope from the domes located at the very top of the building should be highlighted. Also, in the adjacent room there's a Billeter astronomical clock dated to 1869 which indicates the time and the exact position of some planets, the Earth, the Moon, and the Sun until 2029. This is a building where the passion for architecture and the devotion to science are amazingly represented.Includes
