Description

The MNAC is housed in the Palau Nacional on Montjuïc, originally built for the 1929 International Exposition. The museum features Catalan Modernism works by artists such as Gaudí and Casas, alongside European Renaissance and Baroque pieces by painters including Tiziano and Velázquez. The collection also includes photography.

Exhibits are spread across two floors, so allocate a couple of hours to explore fully. The museum’s history is part of the experience. Though the rooftop currently remains closed due to health regulations, it is normally available for city views.
