Discover the potter's wheel at Casa Blau – El Taller, a creative space located in the Sant Antoni neighborhood in the center of Barcelona, where you'll learn how to create your own ceramic pieces in a relaxed, bright, and welcoming environment. Casa Blau is also home to Laboyana Café, our specialty café. Everything is included in the price. Materials, tools, glazing, double firing, and a specialty breakfast or snack from Laboyana Café. Just come with a desire to create; we'll take care of the rest. During the 3-hour workshop, with the guidance of our team of potters, you'll learn the basic techniques for working on the potter's wheel and you'll create two pieces, such as cups, bowls, or even your own breakfast set. At the end of the class, you can choose the color of the glaze for each of your pieces. We'll take care of the glazing and the entire firing process so that you receive your pieces completely finished and ready to use. They are microwave-, oven-, and dishwasher-safe. During the workshop, you'll enjoy a breakfast or snack prepared by Laboyana Café, our specialty café, which is also included in the experience. The pieces will be ready approximately 3 weeks after the workshop, and you can pick them up at Casa Blau. If you live outside of Barcelona or are traveling, we also offer national and international shipping. Shipping costs are not included and depend on the destination.

Includes

All materials (clay and glazes). Use of all necessary tools. Assistance from our team of potters throughout the activity. Creation of two ceramic pieces on the wheel. Glazing of the pieces (one color of your choice for each). Double firing in a ceramic kiln. Beverage: 1 specialty coffee (Batch Brew from Laboyana Café). Food: 1 pandebono (Colombian specialty), fresh fruit, and dried fruits. Apron during the activity.

Excludes

Additional drinks or food from Laboyana Café. Decoration with slips, textures, or detailed painting of the pieces. This workshop is focused on learning how to use the wheel, so there is not enough time for decorations. If you'd like to personalize your pieces with these techniques, you can book an additional session. Delivery fee for the pieces.

Important Information

• No previous experience is required. Activity available in English and Spanish. Everything is included in the price: materials, tools, glazing, double firing, and breakfast or a snack from Laboyana Café. The pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after the workshop. If necessary, we can ship your pieces to any country. The cost of shipping is not included and will depend on the destination. Each piece is made entirely by hand and fired in a ceramic kiln. Therefore, there may be small variations in shape, size, color, or finish, making each piece unique.
