Discover Montjuïc, one of Barcelona’s most fascinating hills, on a 2-hour guided walking tour combining history, Olympic heritage, art, gardens, panoramic viewpoints, and spectacular views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea.
Meet your guide near the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, at the foot of the hill, and discover the history of Plaça d’Espanya and the transformation of Montjuïc during Barcelona’s major international events.
Learn about the Barcelona Pavilion, designed for the 1929 International Exhibition and considered a landmark of modern architecture. Continue toward the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), where you can admire its impressive setting and enjoy panoramic views over the city while learning about Montjuïc’s cultural significance.
Explore Barcelona’s Olympic legacy as you walk through the Olympic area of Montjuïc. See the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Flame, and pass by the Olympic Museum, where you can find handprints and footprints linked to legendary athletes, including Michael Jordan.
Continue past the Joan Miró Foundation and discover how art, architecture, nature, and sport have shaped Montjuïc over the years.
If you wish, take the Montjuïc Cable Car toward the summit and enjoy spectacular aerial views over Barcelona. The cable car is optional and the ticket is not included in the tour price.
At the top of Montjuïc, take in panoramic views of Barcelona, the port, and the Mediterranean Sea. See the exterior of Montjuïc Castle and visit the Mayor’s Viewpoint while learning about the strategic role the hill has played throughout Barcelona’s history.
Enjoy time to take photos and relax before continuing through Montjuïc’s peaceful gardens and scenic paths. Along the way, discover surprising stories about the mountain, including its connection with Gaudí and the construction of the Sagrada Família.
Finish the tour near Hotel Miramar Barcelona, at one of Montjuïc’s most scenic viewpoints overlooking the city, the port, and the Mediterranean Sea.
At the end of the tour, your guide will help you choose the best way to continue your day. You can take the Port Cable Car down toward Barceloneta, enjoy a peaceful walk back toward the city through Montjuïc’s scenic paths, or use public transport. Your guide will advise you on the best option depending on your plans.

Important Information
- If you’re traveling on your own, no worries at all! You can simply book the tour for two people, and I’ll be happy to take you on the tour. I look forward to showing you around!
The tour ends at the scenic viewpoint from where you can choose to take a taxi, bus, walk down (15 minutes), or even take the Aeri Cable Car straight to Barceloneta after the tour
Depending on the available time and the pace of the travelers, the guide may also accompany them on a walk down Montjuïc if the clients wish
The cable car ticket is not included in the tour price for either guests or the guide. Tickets can be purchased on site for approximately €12 per person
The fountain is on from 11–13 and from 16 to 18
If you are traveling with a baby stroller, our guide will be happy to assist you and help carry it if the escalators are not working
