The Palau de la Música Catalana was built between 1905 and 1908 by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, financed by popular subscription as the base for the Orfeó Català. This jewel of Catalan Art Nouveau represents a symbolic emotional heritage for most Catalans and is the only Art Nouveau concert venue listed as a World Heritage Site by UNSESCO.
Located in the old city district in Barcelona, the auditorium of Palau de la Música Catalana has been over the years the privileged set for music from all over the world and played together with the Orfeó Català and the Choir the role as an authentic symbol of Catalan culture with a strong commitment with the Catalan identity.
The Palau de la Música Catalana offers daily guided tours from 10:00 to 15:30 in different languages. The length of the tour is 55 minutes and it is highly requested to be on time.
