Description

Discover a different way to experience Barcelona with a creative pottery experience in the heart of the Eixample district. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to use a professional potter's wheel, work with locally sourced natural clay, and shape 2 handmade pieces with the help of your instructor. No prior experience is necessary – just curiosity and a desire to try something new.

The experience begins with a demonstration and an introduction to the basic techniques. Then your teacher will guide you step by step as you learn to center, open, and shape the clay with your own hands. Each participant receives 1.2 kg of natural, chemical-free clay, enough to create 2 pieces of about 600 g each. You'll spend approximately 90 minutes at the potter's wheel, with the freedom to experiment and create unique pieces in a guided environment.

The workshop takes place in a cozy pottery studio in Barcelona, a great opportunity to discover a more local and creative side to the city. At the end of the session, each participant cleans their tools and their workspace. If you want to turn one of your pieces into a finished souvenir, you can add the finishing service for 1 piece for €10, which includes polishing, glazing, and firing in the kiln (you can choose from 30 colors). The piece will be ready in about 2 to 4 weeks and, once finished, it will be suitable for the oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The activity ends at the studio after cleaning the workstation.
