Description
Departure from Barcelona at the scheduled time, from your hotel.
Arrival at the Dalí Museum in Figueres, where the surrealist world awaits you. Designed by Dalí himself, this museum is a work of art in its own right, with its extravagant façade and unique installations that capture the essence of the famous artist.
At the museum, we will spend some time admiring some of Dalí's most famous works, including paintings, sculptures, and various mind-bending installations. For those of you who aren't museum enthusiasts, we can assure you that the Dali Museum exceeds all expectations, not only because of its paintings, but also because of its approach to the world of art.
We will continue our journey to the village of Cadaqués, the most beautiful village in Spain. Cadaqués is a charming coastal village on the Costa Brava, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and its connection to the artist Salvador Dalí. Time for lunch. Optionally, we can choose a premium fish restaurant.
After a refreshment, we will explore the town center, including the Church of St. Mary, located in the upper part of the old town, which offers breathtaking views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea. On a 1-hour walk through the cobblestone streets, we will discover stories and legends about pirates and Indian emigrants that will transport us back to other eras.
Cadaqués is known for its whitewashed houses with blue doors and windows, which create a magical atmosphere. You will have 30 minutes to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on your own as you explore the small craft shops and art galleries scattered throughout the town center. This walk will let you soak up the essence of Cadaqués and its Mediterranean charm.
On the way back to Barcelona, we will pass through the city of Girona. We will begin our tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), an iconic spot for enjoying panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colorful houses that line its banks. From there, we will continue to the Barri Vell, Girona's old town, which is a labyrinth of narrow, cobblestone streets steeped in history. Here, we will see the exterior of Girona Cathedral, renowned for its impressive Baroque façade and for having the widest Gothic nave in the world. And, of course, it was a setting for the movie Game of Thrones.
We will conclude the tour by walking along the ramparts of Girona. This walk will offer you spectacular views of the city and the surrounding area. The ramparts can be accessed from various points in the Old Town and offer a unique perspective on how the city was defended in times gone by.
Finally, we will round off this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
