Discover Barcelona’s history by walking through the Gothic Quarter, the city’s oldest neighborhood. The tour continues along La Rambla, where your guide will explain the city’s founding by Emperor Augustus. You will visit the old port area and see remnants of the ancient city walls as you explore narrow Gothic streets before reaching Nova Square, home to the Gothic-style Cathedral.
Your guide will share stories about important historical figures like St. Roque and Wilfredo the Hairy, as well as the origins of Catalonia’s flag design.
