Description

The tour departs from Barcelona heading south to Tarragona to see the 2,000-year-old Roman Aqueduct, a well-preserved but less-visited monument. From there, you enter Tarragona’s Old Town through the Roman walls, exploring the Archaeological Walkway, historic stone walls, medieval hospital, and cathedral. On Sundays, the cathedral hosts an antique market where unique gifts are available.

Continue to the Roman Forum and Roman Circus, walking underground passageways that once held Circus stands. Visit Plaça de la Font, a popular square in the Old Town. Overlook the sea from the Roman Amphitheatre and imagine the gladiatorial contests that once took place.

At approximately 12:30, depart for Sitges, stopping briefly at Roc de Sant Gaieta. This small village features white houses with Roman-Greco architectural influences, reminiscent of Ibiza-style fishing communities.

Arrive in Sitges at 14:00 for lunch and free time. Sitges offers a long sandy beach, boutiques, and historical sites with an artistic heritage dating to the 1890s. After lunch, relax on one of the town’s 17 beaches before reuniting with the group at 18:00 for the return to Barcelona.
