Let’s take a look at some of the most useful tickets:

Bitllet Senzill for the Bus (Single JourneyTicket) = 2,15€

Nice and simple, this is the ticket you need for one single journey and you can purchase it once on board from the driver.

Bitllet Senzíll for the Metro (Single JourneyTicket) = 2,15€

You can purchase this kind of ticket at the metro automatic vending machines to be found downstairs before the metro turnstiles.

Both Bitllet Senzill tickets are only for use on their respective methods of transport.

Barcelona operates an Integrated Transport ticketing system meaning that you don’t have to juggle with lots of different tickets. So, when you buy an integrated ticket, you can use it on the Buses, Metro, FGC Trains, Trams, (except the Tramvia Blau, Funicular to Tibidabo, for both cable cars to access the Monjuïc Mountain and on some RENFE Trains).

Check below the most common Integrated Transport Tickets:

T-10 Ticket = 10,30€

This is the most popular ticket for travellers who will be using the Barcelona Transport System a few times during the space of a week or so.

It gives you 10 full journeys on all integrated methods of transport in Barcelona from zones 1 to 6.

If you jump on the Metro for example, and then take a bus from outside your destination station within an hour and fifteen minutes it will still count as just one journey. Make sure you validate your ticket though.

It is the same if within this period of time you jump from one bus to another of any other line. If you take the same line you have to pay though and always be sure to validate your ticket.

The T-10 ticket can also be used by various people at the same time. That is to say that if you and a friend want to use the same ticket at the same station, it is perfectly acceptable to hand the ticket back to them after passing through the turnstile. However this will result in two journeys being used.

The best way to purchase a T-10 ticket is at the automatic vending machines located at Metro and FGC Train stations.

T-Dia (One Day Ticket) = 7.60€

This is the perfect ticket for people who are in town for just one day and need to use the Barcelona Transport System for unlimited journeys in zones 1 to 6 from the time of first use, until the transport system has closed.

This ticket is for single-person usage, so it can’t be used by any other people.
