Getting to and from Barcelona Airport by CAR
If you intend to rent a car during your time in Barcelona you can easily do so from both terminals at Barcelona Airport. There are numerous stands providing car rental services inside the arrivals areas, even if you not have pre-booked your rental.
In fact driving in Barcelona is not that difficult due to the distribution of the streets. The grid design of the city centre district makes it easy to find your way around, although it is not the same everywhere and many areas in the old city streets are pedestrianised.

It is worth noting that the public transport network in Barcelona (bus and metro) is of a high standard. Unless you intend to head out to the coast or elsewhere in Catalonia, we would suggest that you do not really need to rent a car. Parking in Barcelona is expensive and troublesome and often takes some of the fun out of exploring a tight-knit city!
