Begin your tour by meeting your guide in Barcelona's Old Town. Discover ancient Roman Barcelona with your expert local guide. This part of the city is one of the oldest, dating back over 2,000 years. Let your imagination run wild as you recreate the Roman Forum in modern-day Plaça de Sant Jaume, which remains the seat of political life in Catalonia. Walk along one of the world’s best-preserved Roman walls and picture the baths, markets, and public life that once animated the area. Enjoy the unique architecture and monumental buildings of the Gothic Quarter, a neighborhood that transports you back to the Middle Ages. Take in emblematic sites such as Plaça del Rei, the Ramblas, and the Barcelona Cathedral, and wander streets and plazas full of local character and stories. At the Old Town, descend toward the Marina and discover the Old Port of Barcelona. This area is home to the Drassanes building where military and comercial vessels where constructed since the 14th century. The Marina of Barcelona was also home to the 38th America's cup. Board a comfortable harbor boat for a round-trip inside the Port of Barcelona. During the cruise, enjoy close-range views of the marina, working docks, moored vessels, and port operations — a great vantage point to understand Barcelona’s maritime life. The harbor boat will make a scheduled stop at Moll de Llevant, where you will disembark for a short guided walk of the marina and waterfront highlights (local stories and photo opportunities). After the stop, reboard for the return trip to the port.
