Botanical Garden
Barcelona
The existence of a botanic garden in Barcelona dates back to the 16th century and at that time it was a property of the Capuchin monks near the Plaça Reial in the old city.
After several locations this beautiful garden is set today on the hill of Montjuïc and from there you can enjoy awesome views over the city while visiting the garden.
The botanic garden in Barcelona has been conceived to be a reference for the conservation of Mediterranean flora and with the aim of being an important source of information for everybody who wants to learn about botany and nature.
