Having met in Placa Reial, the main square in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Qaurter, your guide will then take you on a journey of our local wine, history and culture. In this cultural but light hearted experience, you will begin with a blindfolded wine tasting! Famous for making experts come across as fools, this amusing start will put your basic tasting abilities to the test. The idea is you learn the real essentials of how to taste wine and then from there the journey continues onward. From here you will go to 3 more stops, having a different glass of wine at each. Each glass will be accompanied with a local tale and why it is specific to the region and area. If you are lucky, and ask sweetly, it is not unheard of for the places to offer more than one glass... As you wonder the streets, your guide will make brief stops for you to learn about the area you are in, and all the stories from the site. Some light tapas, such as hams, cheeses or oysters will be offered, but nothing too huge. However, at the end you will receive a dessert to go with a sweet wine. This will conclude your tour and you can go off and party into the early hours of the Mediterranean morning, or go to bed to nurse a inevitable hangover.Includes
